Urban Swell
Cascais’s coastline in Portugal is 30 kilometres west of Lisbon and was a former fishing village which gained fame as a resort for Portuguese royal family in the late 19th century and early 20th century. Since the 70’s its started to gain fame for its surfing and now you're more likely to see surfers than royalty enjoying the costly spots. The coastline may have suffered some very bad planning decisions in recent times (like most places in the world), but some beautiful architecture holmes still remain. Yet the thing which hasn’t changed is the swells which continue to grace this now urban shoreline. This is a project which captures those swell lines and its urban surroundings and people who enjoy it.
